Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire and inhalation hazards, due to operating machinery in a steel mill without having proper fire prevention applications installed: a) On or about June 4, 2004 and at times prior, Multiserv did not protect employees from fire hazards. The loader operators at the Rocky Mountain Steel Mill were not required to demonstrate an understanding of the training provided. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").-Certification
