Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to Fall Hazards:
a)New York State Fairgrounds Midway, on or about 08/24/2004: One employee
was disconnecting the Gondola pins of a Century Wheel Carnival Ride at a
height of 25 feet above the lower surface without fall protection.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method to correct the fall
hazard
is to:
Install and use a fall protection system to maintain 100fall protection.
