On August 4, 2004 at 10779 Alpharetta Highway, Roswell, Georgia: An
employee was observed
welding while standing on a pallet approximately 15 feet above the lower
level. The employer
had a man basket on site at the time of the inspection, but was not
utilized.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOS TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS:
1. Instruct each employee during initial training and safety meetings, not
to work from non
approved working paltforms, as required ASME 56.6-1992, Section 5.15.1
