Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: inadequate anchorage connectors on the Sofa/Couch Lift. A.) On or before 1/4/06, warehouse employees were using eye bolts on the sofa lift as anchorage connectors. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
