corrosive material, had three 16 ounce bottles of sterile isotonic first
aid
solution which would not provide a continuous 15 minute flushing of the
eye(s).

Condition:The eyewash station provided where employees used aqua ammonia, a
corrosive material, did not have any solution to provide a continuous 15
minute flushing of the eye(s).
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to install an eyewash facility that meets the requirements of the American
National Standard for
Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment Z358.1-1981.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training
certification, etc.) is required for this item.
