Section 6(a) of the  Puerto Rico Ocupational Safety Health Act: The
employer did not furnish
employment and place of employment which was  free  from recognized
hazards  that  were
causing  or likely  to cause  death  or physical  harm  to employees  in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad  y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y  su sitio de empleo libre de  riesgo reconocidos  que
estan causando  o que
puede causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos a:
At the  Escuela Republica de Mexico', the employees were teaching
differents topics
to their students and other employees  were cleaning classrooms, common
areas and the
traffic circle. There  were  cracks on the  floor, differences  of
elevation in the floor and
lossening of the  grate of window. These  conditions  were  observed  at:
a. The  library.
b. Home economics  classrooms.
c  Science classroom.
d. Traffic circle.
e. Sidewalk.
f. Stair near  to the  library.
Hazard: Fall, hit  and stumbling.
Among other methods to correct  this hazard  is a soil study and  identify
root of tree
that affect the structure. For further establishment of  a  plan for the
improvement   of
the facilities.
En la  Escuela Republica de Mexico, los empleados estaban ensenando
diferentes
materias  a sus estudiantes  y  otros empleados estaban  limpiando
salones, areas
comunes  y la glorieta. Habian grietas   en paredes, pisos, desniveles en
pisos   y
desprendimiento de  la reja de la  ventana. La condicion fue observada en:
a. La Biblioteca.
b. Salones de economia domestica.
c. Salon de  ciencias.
d. Glorieta.
e. Aceras.
f. Escaleta  cerca de la libreria.
Riesgo: Caida, golpes  y tropezones.
Entre  otros metodos para corregir este riesgo es  realizar  un estudio de
suelo para
determinar la estabilidad de los  terrenos, controlar las  raices de los
arboles que  esten
afectando la estructura. Para luego establecer  un plan para el
mejoramiento de la
facilidad.to

At the Escuela Republica  de Mexico' in the library.  The employee was
assisting a
teacher and a student in the search for reference.  There was a large
metal gate lose.
Hazard: Large door fall over employee
Among other methods to correct this hazard is change the large metal gate.
En la Escuela Republica de Mexico en la Biblioteca. La empleada estaba
asistiendo a
maestro y estudiante en la busqueda de referencia.  Habia un porton en la
puerta de
entrada que se estaba desprendiendo.
Riesgo: Caida del porton sobre un empleado.
Entre otros metodos para corregir este riesgo es cambiar el porton.
