Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the "Federacion de Baloncesto de PR" first floor, there were observed
the aisles with
sewage water accumulation, caused by a clogged sewer that provocated bad
odor and
filtration of water through the building's piping to the office. The
employees walked over
the sewage water soaking their shoes. The employees were performing
office's
works
such as: completing documents, answering phones, filing, among others.
Hazard: Contact with sewage water.
Among other correction methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to
correct this
hazard are repair the pipes.
En la Federacion de Baloncesto de PR, primer piso, se observaron los
pasillos con
acumulacion de aguas usadas, causada por una alcantarilla tapada que
provoco mal olor
y filtracion de agua atraves de la tuberia hasta la oficina. Los empleados
caminaban sobre
el agua usada mojando sus zapatos. Los empleados estaban realizando
trabajos de oficina
tales como: completando documentos, contestando telefonos, archivando,
entre otros.
Riesgo: Contacto con agua usadas.
Entre otros medios de correcion, varios metodos factibles y aceptables
para
corregir este
riesgo es reparar la tuberia.
