Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: At ASSMCA, Women's Residence, the employees: Social Workers, Secretaries, Nurses, Therapists, Service Assitants and Maintenance were performing jobs related to their proffesions and entering and exiting to the patio in order to watch and supervise the residents. in the kitchen area, the door that led to the patio was damaged; the door monitor was broken causing the door to open and close abruptly. Hazard: Danger of being struck by the damaged door. Among other correction methods, a feasible and acceptable to correct these hazard would be, to install a new door piston or replace the door. El la Residencia de Mujeres de ASSMCA, los empleados: Trabajadores Sociales, Secretarias, Enfermeras, Terapistas, Asistentes de Servicio y Mantenimiento, realizaban los trabajos correspondientes a sus profesiones y entraban y salian hacia el patio supervisando y custodiando a las residentes. En el area de la cocina, la puerta que daba acceso al patio estaba rota; tenia el piston roto lo que provocaba que la puerta se cerrara y abriera abruptamente. Riesgo: Peligro de ser golpeado por la puerta defectuosa. Entre otros metodos de correccion, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo seria, reparar el piston de la puerta o reemplazar la puerta.zar
