North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)equipment repair shop -- two monorails were improperly labeled in that they were labeled as the load limit being two tons with the combined load limits of the hoists being used on the monorails exceeded the labeled load limits. Reference:ANSI B30.11-1998, Chapter 11-1, Section 11-1.1 Markings, Paragraph 11-1.1.2 Rated Load Markings NOTE:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to properly mark each monorail.
