Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falls. (a)On or about 09/01/04, at 6110 Deerfoot Pkwy, Trussville, AL - An employee was observed working on the forks of a Pettibone Rough Terrain Forklift exposing him to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to comply with the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Standard ASME B56.6- 1992, Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks, Section 5.15.on
