Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that
employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Employees were exposed to serious injuries caused by falls due to the wet
and slippery condition
inside the Refrigerator (Freezer), it is located in Big KMart kitchen of
the Los Colobos Mall.
The floor of the refrigerator had some anti-slippery material but was
observed worn out in some
areas.  The water in the floor came from the condensation inside the
refrigerator.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to place new
anti-sliperry material on the floor of the refrigerator.
Empleados estaban expuestos a lesiones serias causadas por caidas debido a
las condiciones de
piso mojado y resbaloso dentro del refrigerador (Freezer),  el mismo esta
localizado en la cocina
de de Big KMart del Centro Comercial Los Colobos.  El piso del
refrigerador tenia material
anti-resbaladizo pero se observo desgastado en algunas areas. El agua en
el piso provenia de la
condensacion dentro del refrigerador.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptado para corregir este
riesgo, es colocar nuevo
materia anti-resbaladizo en el piso del refrigerador.
