employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Employees exposed to smoke inside the lobby of the elevators. At the Coral
Beah
Condominium, located on Isla Verde Avenue #5709, Carolina P.R. It was
observed that
none of the 10 elevators of the Condominium had a smoke detector in the
lobby. The
elevators used by the employees to access the different levels of the
Condominium and
provide maintenance to the apartments.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
haard is place
the smoke detector to the lobby of the elevator.
Empleados expuestos a humo dentro del vestibulo de los elevadores. En el
Condominio
Coral Beach, localizado en la Avenida Isla Verde 5709, Carolina P.R. Se
observo que
ninguno de los 10 elevadores del Condominio tienen un detector de humo en
el vestibulo.
Los elevadores son utilizados por  los empleados de mantenimiento para
accesar los
diferentes pisos del Condominio y proveerle mantenimiento a los
apartamentos.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo apropiado y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es
colocar un detector de humo en el vestibulo del elevador.

Employees exposed to delayed in the entrance and/or exit of the machine
room in case
of emergency. At the Coral Beach Condominium, located on Isla Verde Avenue
#5709
Carolina P.R. In the machine room of both towers it was observed that the
door did not
close adequately. The employees that give maintenance to the elevators use
the door to
access the machine room.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is
change the doors.

maquinas en caso
de emergencia. En el Condominio Coral Beach, localizado en la Ave. Isla
Verde #5709
Carolina P.R. En el cuarto de maquinas de ambas torres se observo que la
puerta no
cierra adecuadamente. Los empleados que le dan mantenimiento a los
elevadores utilizan
las puertas para accesar al cuarto de maquinas.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo apropiado y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es
cambiar las puertas.
