Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: (a) Location - 5 Porter Meadow Road, Topsfield, MA: On or about 09/20/04, employees were exposed to serious hazards while working with a Grove 22 Ton Crane, set on unstable ground. Among other feasible means of abatement would be to place the crane on appropriate sized cribbing / pontoon mats.on
