Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: Fifa Auto Corp. employees were exposed to being struck by heavy objects such as vehicles and lifter parts while performing vehicle maintenance tasks. Employees had to work under cars that were rised on the lifters. These employees were not properly trained by the employer in the safe use and operations according to the manufactures instruction and ANSI/ALI ALOIM-200 section 4.2.1. The employee performed mechanical tasks on vehicles such as but not limited to: oil chanche, tune up's, mounting tires, and repairs. 1.Lifter Trademark Rotary, Color: blue, Model SPOA7-200, Serial Number ALW98C0417. 2.Lifter Trademark Rotary, Color: blue, Model SPOA7-200, Serial Number ALW98C0454. 3.Lifter Trademark Rotary, Color: blue, Model SPOA7-200, Serial Number ALW98C0374. 4.Lifter Trademark Rotary, Color: Blue, Model SPOA7, Serial number ABA94C0289. All lifters were located at the north side of the Shop. Among other methods, one feasible an acceptable method to correct this hazard is to provide and document formal training to all employees that are required to operate and use the equipment according to manufacturers instructions and ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2000 section 4.2.1. Empleados de Fifa Auto Corp. estaba expuestos a ser golpeados por objetos pesados tales como automoviles o partes del pino (lifter) mientras realizaban tareas de mantenimiento de automoviles. Empleados tenian que trabajar debajo de automoviles que estaban levantados en los pinos (lifter). Estos empleados no fueron adiestrados adecuadamente por el patrono en el uso seguro y operacion del equipo de acuerdo con las instrucciones del manufacturero y el ANSI/ALI ALOIM-200 seccion 4.2.1. Los empleados realizaban tareas de mecanica en automobiles tales como pero no se limitaban a: cambios de aceite, "tune up's", montaje de gomas y reparaciones. 1.Lifter Marca Rotary, Color: Azul, Modelo SPOA7-200, # Serie ALW98C0417. 2.Lifter Marca Rotary, Color: Azul, Modelo SPOA7-200, # Serie ALW98C0454. 3.Lifter Marca Rotary, Color: Azul, Modelo SPOA7-200, # Serie ALW98C0374. 4.Lifter Marca Rotary, Color: Azul, Modelo SPOA7, # Serie ABA94C0289. Todos los pinos estaban localizados en el lado norte del taller. Entre otros metodos uni factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es proveer y documentar adiestramiento formal en el uso y operacion del equipo como se requiere en las instrucciones del manufacturero y el ANSI/ALI ALOIM-200 seccion 4.2.1.
