collapse hazards by the outriggers floats not being setup on stable
blocking.
a.  St. Joseph Oratory job site.  On or about April 8th, 2005 the Grove
mobile
crane being used on the job site had it's outriggers setup on unstable
piles of
wood exposing employees to the hazards associated with a crane collapse.
Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the requirements
of ASME B30.5-1995, Safety Standards for Cableways, Derricks, Hoists,
Hooks,
Jacks, and Slings.  Blocking under outrigger floats shall be of such
thickness,
width and length to prevent shifting, toppling or excessive settlement
under load.
