and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed
to falls associated with an aerial
lift tipover:
a) Neshaminy Interplex - The employer did not comply with the
manufacturer's specifications and limitations
applicable to the operation of a JLG aerial lift, Model 120SXJ, Serial
Number 0300064118, in that the aerial
lift was extended beyond the maximum horizontal reach of 60 feet while
performing a window caulking
operation on the exterior of the sixth story of Building Six on or about
November 17, 2005.
Among other methods, one feasible method to abate this hazard is to
establish and enforce safe operating
procedures. Procedures such as those stated by the manufacturer in the JLG
Operators & Safety Manual.
Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The
certification
shall include a
statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement and a
statement that employees and their
representatives were informed of this abatement.tives
