Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing o r likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: a.The emp loyer did not provide the correct pipe for compressed air usage. Employees in th e shop were exposed to injuries resulting from being struck by fragments of PVC pipe, used to distribute up to 125 psi of compressed air, which is not recommend ed by the manufacturer because of heat breakdown and potential fragmentation. On e feasible method, among others, would be to replace the PVC pipe with a pipe ca pable of withstanding compressed air distribution.
