North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish
each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of
employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to a ground fault in the electrical wiring
of a refrigerator.
1)The employer failed to provide a migrant labor camp free
from electrical hazards in that the refrigerator was not
properly grounded.   The grounding pin was missing on the cord
that was hard wired to the refrigerator.  This cord was
continuously plugged into a two wire temporary extension cord.
The two connected plugs were sitting in a small puddle on the
floor. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of
abating this violation is to have a licensed electrician
properly ground the refrigerator, eliminate the temporary
wiring, and eliminate the source of the leak.
