North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to
each of his employees  conditions of employment and a place of
employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the
workers living in the single story white house at 8213 Simpson Rd.
Lucama, NC 27851 were exposed to electrical hazards:
a) Live electrical wires were hanging from a piece of the
ceiling that was torn open and hanging down overhead.
b) Refrigerator in kitchen was not grounded or GFCI protected.
c) Wall outlet in cinder block utility building was missing a
cover plate.
d) Washing machine in cinder block utility bldg was sitting
directly on the dirt floor and not grounded or GFCI protected.
e) Ceiling light fixture in bedroom was hanging from ceiling,
placing strain on live electrical wires.
Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abating these
violations is to provide housing for migrant workers which meets
the National Electric Code and local building code requirements for
electrical wiring.

wired to an outlet in the hall by running the wire along the
outside of the wall and through a window.
d) The wall outlet in the hall of the back trailer was missing
a cover plate.
Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abating these
violations is to provide housing for migrant workers which meets
the National Electric Code and local building code requirements for
electrical wiring.
