North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to: a)automotive shop-the facility had no inspection schedule for the Alamo automotive lift, model TP09, S/N 1189, used to lift vehicles for maintenance. (ref. para 5.1,5.6 and 6.1 ANSI/ALI ALOIM-1994). A feasible means of abatement is to perform periodic inspections by a qualified inspector to ensure the safe operation of the lift.tion
