SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of
recognized hazards
which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply
with this
regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations
promulgated under
Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as
amended, as
follows:
A.  The employer knew or should have known that the employee driving the
Hyster 180
forklift was exposed to the hazard of being thrown from the driver's seat.
A feasible and
useful method of abatement, among others, is to install a seat belt on the
Hyster 180 forklift.
B.  The employer knew or should have known that the employee driving a
Clark forklift,
Serial Number GP138MB-0003-6486F, was exposed to the hazard of being
thrown from the
driver's seat.  A feasible and useful means of abatement, among others, is
to install a seat
belt on the Clark forklift.
C.  The employer knew or should have known that the employee driving a CAT
forklift,
Serial Number 8EB01544, was exposed to the hazard of being thrown from the
driver's seat.
A feasible and useful means of abatement, among others, is to install a
seat belt on the CAT
forklift.
D.  The employer knew or should have known that the employees driving a
Hyster 30
forklift, was exposed to the hazard of being thrown from the driver's
seat.  A feasible and
useful means of abatement, among others, is to install a seat belt on the
Hyster 30 forklift.
E.  The employer knew or should have known that the employee driving a
Clark
(small
green) forklift was exposed to the hazard of being thrown from the
driver's seat.  A feasible
and useful means of abatement, among others, is to install a seat belt on
the Clark (small
green) forklift located in the storage area.
