SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees working in, around, on or near hot pipes at north end CP3 EI tubes steam condensation header were exposed to the hazard of being burned by pipes that are not insulated. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among others, is to insulate the hot pipes. B. Employer knew or should have known that employees working in, around, on or near hot pipes at M-G Unit TFE vacuum unit third floor, were exposed to the hazard of being burned by pipes that are not insulated. A feasible and useful method to correct t his hazard, among others, is to insulate the hot pipes. C. Employer knew or should have known that employees working in, around, on or near hot pipes at CP5 DMP station fourth floor were exposed to the hazard of being burned by pipes that are not insulated. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among others, is to insulate the hot pipes. D. Employer knew or should have known that employees working in, around, on or near hot pipes at the finish bath line 13 were exposed to the hazard of being burned by pipes that are not insulated. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among others, is to insulate the hot pipes.
