North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety & Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) Pallet Plant - - the employer did not require Operators of powered-industrial trucks to use the seatbelts provided by the manufacturers of these powered-industrial trucks. NOTE:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard would be to require all operators to use the manufacturer provided seatbelts.er

North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Pallet Plant: Sections of the uprights for the tubular metal racks located in the center portion of the west end of the Plant showed evidence of impact damage from contact with powered industrial trucks or loads handled with powered industrial trucks sufficient to reduce the strength of the racks below the manufacturer's designed specifications. REFERENCE:ANSI MH 16.2-1984 (R1966) For the Use of Industrial and Commercial Steel Storage Racks - Manual of Safety Practices / A Code of Safety Practices. NOTE:Among other acceptable methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard would be to replace the damaged sections of racks with racks that have been constructed with manufacturer's designed specifications for the weight of materials being stored.ls
