Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling: Location: Hartford Golf Course Construction site: On or about January 26, 2006, employees were exposed to the hazards of falling approximately 13 feet from a 14 inch concrete foundation wall when they worked on the wall without fall protection. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard, would be to require the employees to perform their work from a scaffold.
