Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: Warehouse: Employees operating the Clark forklift were not provided with working seat belts. Among other methods, one feasible and useful method to correct this hazard in the have the seat belts repaired/replaced and require that the seat belts be worn when the truck is operated.
