Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:12/27/04 Equipment:New Holland Skid Loader, Model L553, Serial#764170 Condition:Employee was exposed to struck by/crushed by injuries while attempting to exit or enter the operator's station while the equipment's motor controls were left engaged. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to reinstall the safety interlock that removes all power to the equipment when the operator unbuckles the seat belt.
