were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to

molten aluminum
causing smoke or fire:
(a)Foundry: On February 8, 2005, and at times prior thereto, employees were
exposed to smoke and fire due to Tellus Plus Oil 32 being added to the
Stahl
Unitol hydraulic power unit supplying pressure to the hydraulic tilt pour
units.
LA Aluminum Casting Company was previously cited for a violation of this
occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA
Inspection
Number 306438821, Citation Number 01, Item Number 02, issued on 07/29/2004.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to shield the hydraulic lines form the hot aluminum, or use fire
resistant
hydraulic fluid.
