Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 4/25/05, an employee was exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards because he was operating a Skid Loader while the forward view was obstructed by an elevated bucket. Among other methods of abatement, a feasible and acceptable method to correct these hazards is to follow the operator's manual of the equipment which indicates that for maximum stability carry load as low as possible. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
