Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from the top of the railcars: Yard Area: On or about 06/21/05, fall protection was not provided for employees accessing and working on top of railcars. Among other methods of abatement, a feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to provide fall protection for the employees. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
