Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The

were exposed to hazard of being struck by or falling from collapsing truss
system:
a.On or about February 18, 2006, employees installing trusses with a span
of 52
feet were exposed to the hazard of being struck by or falling from a
collapsing
wood roof truss system, in that; the trusses were not adequately braced.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to
correct this
hazard is to install trusses with temporary bracing in accordance with the
Truss Plate
Institute's BCSI-B1 "Handling, Installing and Bracing Metal of Plate
Connected Wood
Trusses", which was attached to and delivered with the trusses from the
manufacturer.
ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
