Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to being struck by trusses displaced by the damaged roller
conveyor:
(a)Lezzer Truss Systems, Incorporated, 300 Cloverleaf Road Manchester, PA
- The
employer did not ensure that employees were protected from being struck by
trusses that were displaced by the roller conveyor.  Trusses, sagging
under their
own weight, strike the roller conveyors and may deflect upward or downward
under the rollers, potentially exposing employees to injury, on or about
February
13, 2006.
Abatement note:  Feasible means of abatement include, but are not limited
to, the
repair of damaged rollers, the installation of additional rollers to
minimize the
downward sag of the trusses as they come out of the roller press and
establishment of a maintenance program to ensure the roller conveyor stays
in
prime condition.
