Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazard: (a)Production Floor - The employer permitted the employees to work off step ladders in the closed position leaning against forms rather than in the opened position as recommended by the manufacture, on or about October 17, 2006. Among other methods, one feasable and acceptable abatement method to correct these hazards include following ANSI A14.52000 "American National Standard for Ladders - Portable Reinnforced Plastic - Safety Requirements". The user shall ensure that the stepladder is fully opened, with the spreader locked and all feet contacting a firm level support surface. VERIFICATION REQUIRED
