Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Crushing and or falling hazards. a)West Side of the Building - The operators of a manlift was not trained and tested by the Government of the District of Columbia, on or about 05/01/05. Among other methods, on feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is to establish and enforce the requirements of the Government of the District of Columbia and have all operators of manlifts trained and licensed as manlift operators.
