Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: On or about February 2, 2006, an employee was exposed to crushing hazards while operating the New Holland Skid-Steer Loader, Model Number L-778, Serial Number 245342, because the side shields or screens were not in place. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to ensure all side shields or screens are in place prior to operating the New-Holland Skid-Steer Loader in accordance with the Manufacturer and the Farm and Industrial Equipment Institute. ***THIS ITEM REQUIRES DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT***
