1) Employees were exposed to hazards related to possible underhung crane
failure as a result
of not being inspected by a qualified person on a frequent or periodic
basis.
2) Underhung crane operators were exposed to potential shock hazards while
operating the
hanging pendant control.  The multi-conductor cable powering the pendant
control was under
strain and not supported.
Among the feasible means abatement would be to comply with the American
National Standard
Institute B30.11 - 1998, Section 11-1.9.1 Electrical Equipment and Section
11-2.1 Inspections.
