Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: the hazard of being struck by moving vehicles on the carwash track. a)Carwash, at the end of the track: Employees that were hand drying cars while they were still being pushed by the rollers on the car wash track, were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the moving vehicles. Violation occurred on or about 04/20/2007. b)Carwash, at the end of the track: Employees that were hand drying cars while they were still being pushed by the rollers on the car wash track, were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the moving vehicles. Violation occurred on or about 05/03/2007. ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD, AMONG OTHERS TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO: DESIGNATE AN AREA IN FRONT OF THE CARWASH TRACK TO STAGE CARS FOR ADDITIONAL DRYING AND ENFORCE USAGE OF THE AREA.
