employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were

recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to
employees, in that, employees were exposed to being struck-by loads being
dropped from the
overhead cranes:
(a)On or about August 21, 2007, at the worksite, employees were observed
using
overhead cranes in bay 2 that had the hook latch missing exposing
employees to being
struck-by loads as they were being elevated, carried, and set in place.
(b)On or about August 21, 2007, at the worksite, employees were observed
using
Robbins and Mars overhead crane in bay 1 that had the hook latch missing
exposing the
employees to being struck-by loads as they were being elevated, carried,
and set in place.
Among other methods, one method feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct this
hazard is to: Repair or replace missing hook latches as per ANSI
B30.10-1993.
