North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North Carolina:  The
employer did not furnish to each of his employees  conditions of
employment and a place of employment free
from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious
physical harm to employees, in
that employees were exposed to electrical hazards:
a)Harris Teeter Store #90 - where employees clean, including but not
limited to, the Fresh
Service Seafood Case, containg electrical components operating at 115 vac,
using a water hose
and the case was not protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI) and on/or about
July 20, 2005 an employee received an electric shock when reinstalling a
metal fan cover.
Abatement Note:
Install a GFCI on the electrical panel or the outlets that provide power
to the Fresh Service Seafood Case.od
