North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of residence free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards from exposure to live electrical parts and lack of permanent and continuous path to ground from circuits, equipment and enclosures. a) Cover plate missing on wall switch exposing live electrical wiring. b) Refrigerator was not grounded. c) Circuit breaker panel missing circuit breakers creating openings exposing live electrical wiring. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abating this violation is to provide migrant workers with housing that the wiring meets the National Electric Code.
