Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by lightning: a) Location - Kernwood Country Club: On or about June 23, 2005, employees were exposed to electrocution, severe electrical shock and/or burns, and other bodily injury due to: not hearing the lightning warning system, not being instructed to leave the golf course, or being required to continue working while the hazard exists. Among other methods, feasible means of abatement to correct these hazards are: 1) Provide all employees radios for informing of the hazard existence. 2) Install additional alarm speakers to provide better coverage. 3) Install visual warning devices. 4) Require all employees to exit the hazard area and seek shelter.s
