Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards and crushing hazards: (a)Warehouse #1 at Joe Raley Builders new office and warehouse construction site: On June 23, 2005, employee(s) installing trusses with a span of 60 feet that were not adequately braced exposing them to struck-by and fall hazards. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the guidelines for temporary bracing set forth by the warning poster from the Wood Truss Council of America.
