Minn. Stat. 182.653 subd. 2: The employer did not furnish to each employee, conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards which caused or were likely to cause death or serious injury to employees: On May 21, 2005, the safety interlock on grinder #2 (granulator) located in the grinding room was not functional. According to section 5.3.4 Safety Interlock at Feed Sections of ANSI B151.11, all granulators shall have a safety interlock to prevent machine operation unless hopper of feed sections are in a closed position.
