Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards: In the following locations, pressure vessels used in support of radial arm drill rainwater coolant fluid distribution operations were not stamped and reported exposing employees to struck by hazards: a.Machine Shop, West Wall, North End: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device, b.Machine Shop, South Wall, East End: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device, c.Machine Shop, East Side, Center Wall Area: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device, d.Weld Shop, West Wall, South End: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device. In the following locations, pressure vessels used in support of radial arm drill rainwater coolant fluid distribution operations were not equipped with pressure relief valve exposing employees to struck by hazards: e.Machine Shop, West Wall, North End: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device, f.Machine Shop, South Wall, East End: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device, g.Machine Shop, East Side, Center Wall Area: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device, h.Weld Shop, West Wall, South End: Pressure vessel used to provide rainwater coolant fluid under pressure to hollow area of radial arm drill bit device. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct these hazards are the ASME stamp or mark and the installation of a pressure relief valve for each pressure vessel.
