North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards as referenced in NEC, 305-6(b): a)4712 Sandy Bay Circle, lot 65-a temporary power pole was observed to have a 240v outlet with an inoperable GFCI, in which an Rol-Air compressor was plugged and being accessed by employees of Wimberly & Son Construction. A feasible means of abatement is to install an operable GFCI and check periodically to ensure that it is properly functioning.
