OSHA opens inspections for many reasons — routine scheduling under a national or local emphasis program, an employee complaint or referral, or a follow-up after a reported injury. a)4712 Sandy Bay Circle, lot 65-a temporary power pole was observed to
have a 240v
outlet with an inoperable GFCI, into which a Rol-Air compressor was
plugged and
being accessed by employees.
A feasible means of abatement is to manually check the 120v and 240v side
of the temporary
power pole for a functioning GFCI before plugging any equipment into the
T-pole. If the GFCI
is not operable, the employer should contact the general contractor
immediately.
