Health Act of North Carolina:  The
employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment
and a place of employment free
from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees in
that employees were exposed to electrical hazards:
a)  Employer failed to provide a temporary migrant labor camp which was
free from electrical hazards
in that the trailer used to house workers at 500 Gilbert Rd., Benson, NC
did not have approved
electrical service.  Electricity was being supplied to this trailer by way
of extensions cords running
along the ground and through doors and windows from another dwelling at
the same address.
Abatement Notice: Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to
abate
this hazard is to
eliminate the use of all temporary wiring and provide electrical service
which meets National Electric
code and all state and local codes.
