or if the hoist malfunctions:
a)Throughout the facility, on or about 1/26/06:  The following hoists were
not
being inspected on a frequent and periodic basis:
1)3-Ton CM Hoist, #6, safety clip was broken.
2)1/4-Ton Budgit Hoist, safety clip was broken.
3)1/2-ton Demag Hoist, pendant controls were not labeled.
Among other methods, one feasible method of abatement is to replace the
safety
clips
on the load hook, label all pendant controls and conduct frequent and
periodic
inspections of the hoists for wear, deterioration and malfunction as per
ASME
B30.16-1993.
