Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: On or before 3/14/06, on the Mark I Roller Coaster Ride, seven employees were exposed to a fall hazard of up to 12 feet while test riding the ride after it was erected and prior to allowing patrons to ride. One feasible and acceptable means of abatement would be to run test weights in the cars prior to allowing employees to test the ride. PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
