On or before 6/1/06, at the rear of 54 Liberty Lane, an employee operating
a Bob-cat ZT 200
riding lawnmower, Model ZT 200, s/n 94222203629, was exposed to a
caught-between hazard
when the mower went over an embankment and flipped into the water, due to
the lack of
rollover protection system installed on the mower.
PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS
REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is referenced in the
Bob-Cat Operation & Safety
Manual, ZT 200 Series.  Page 6 references Rollover Protection Structure
(ROPS), which is
available as an optional accessory. Operators also need to keep the
lawnmowers away from the
edge of an embankment.
