Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:12/12/05 Location:Scalding/Picking Room Condition:Eyewash station was nonfunctional as determined by a complete lack of water flow. (b)Date of Violation:12/12/05 Location:Battery Charging Room Condition:Eyewash station was nonfunctional as determined by a complete lack of water flow. (c)Date of Violation:12/12/05 Location:Outside Location by Truck Shop Condition:Eyewash station was nonfunctional as determined by a complete lack of water flow and had been installed with a garden hose. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to installation of eyewash stations which provide 15 minutes of continous flush.
